Our Medical Office is seeking an experienced, motivated, and highly organized Medical Assistant (MA) to join our dynamic and rapidly growing primary care practice. We are looking for a dependable team member who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities, communicating with a diverse patient population, and supporting healthcare providers with both clinical and administrative responsibilities.

This is a hybrid Medical Assistant position with a significant focus on remote patient coordination and office-based administrative and clinical support. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, professional, and able to work independently while remaining an effective member of the clinical team.

Position Responsibilities
The Medical Assistant will support the day-to-day operations of Family First NP Medical Office and assist providers in coordinating patient care. Responsibilities include:

Coordinate patient intake and collect necessary medical and demographic information before appointments.
Answer and manage incoming patient and facility telephone calls in a professional and timely manner.
Review, organize, and appropriately route incoming faxes, emails, medical records, laboratory results, and other clinical correspondence.
Schedule and coordinate patient appointments, follow-up visits, and other required services.
Monitor scheduling needs and assist with ensuring patients receive appropriate and timely follow-up.
Communicate with patients, caregivers, facilities, pharmacies, laboratories, home health agencies, and other healthcare professionals as directed.
Assist providers with clinical documentation and note-taking during or after patient encounters as appropriate.
Accurately enter and update medication lists, medical histories, allergies, and other patient information in the electronic health record (EHR).
Perform medication reconciliation support and communicate discrepancies to the provider for review.
Assist providers with obtaining information necessary for patient care and follow-up.
Help coordinate referrals, laboratory testing, diagnostic services, and other provider orders.
Track outstanding patient-care items and communicate with the provider regarding issues requiring follow-up.
Maintain accurate, complete, and timely documentation in the patient's medical record.
Protect patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA and office privacy and security requirements.
Assist with general clinical and administrative duties necessary to maintain an efficient primary care practice.
Work collaboratively with providers and other team members to maintain smooth patient flow and excellent continuity of care.
Perform additional Medical Assistant duties within the individual's training and permitted scope as assigned by the practice.
