Job Description:

Participates in central accounting functions such as monthly journal vouchers, fiscal year closing adjustments, and preparation for auditors.

Prepares, maintains, and processes a variety of financial statistical documents such as mandated reports for federal and state auditors.

Supervises the maintenance of various financial records and budgetary control of financial accounts.

Reviews and analyzes monthly general ledger, revenue, and budget reports.

Assists in the development, implementation, and modification of accounting systems and procedures.

Advises and assists key administrative staff regarding accounting procedures and District policies.

Assists in annual budget preparation.

Supervises, trains, and evaluates assigned staff.

Performs related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Two years of recent and responsible experience in the preparation and maintenance of financial accounting records. Completed upper division college courses in accounting, business management, and finance may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required experience.
