Does the Russian ambassador to Armenia realize that a tragedy happened?
Monday, November 30, -1Russian Ambassador to Armenia Ivan Volynkin has addressed Armenians with a speech expressing his condolences yet trying to make the importance of this huge tragedy less than it is.
“I am addressing all citizens of the Republic of Armenia. Members of the Avetisyan family were buried in Gyumri today. Once again, I would like to present condolences to the relatives of the innocent victims of this crime that is boggling the mind of any normal person,” the Russian ambassador said in a statement published on the Russian Foreign Ministry’s website on Thursday.
“Such atrocities cannot be justified. They do not have nationality or state allegiance. All the embassy employees are sharing the pain of the loss together with the fraternal people of Armenia and are grieving together with them,” the diplomat went on to say.
Volynkin said he was confident that the criminal would face a strict punishment.
“Armenian and Russian competent bodies are carrying out a joint investigation. I have no doubt that it will be objective and all-embracing,” he stressed.
“But we have always overcome those difficulties through joint efforts and support. I believe that it’s going to be the same this time,“ Volynkin said in conclusion.
Is it going to be the same this time? Is the murder of 7 innocent Armenians is going to be forgotten? No, not this time.
If Armenian and Russia have always been friends, why is it that Russia is not actually paying attention to the Armenian Constitution and law?
Is this the friendship he is talking about? Or is it the right time to tell the grieving Armenians to rely in the friendship when an innocent family with two infants has been violently murdered?
Armenians in US are also mourning this loss with Armenia. Let’s show our respect to the innocent victims by lighting a candle in front of the Consulate General Of Armenia in Los Angeles. It is located on 346 Central Avenue, Glendale, CA 91203
