UFC legend Randy Couture recognizes the Armenian Genocide with WEC world champion Karo Parisyan

Awareness towards the Genocide of 1915 is being raised all around the world. ArmenianBD.com had the exclusive chance of speaking to the famous sportsmen Randy Couture and Karo Parisyan, who expressed their emotions about the Armenian Genocide as well as paid their tribute to the 1,5 million of innocent victims who died from the hand of the Ottoman Empire.
Karo Parisyan, also known as “The Heat” is a 4-time International Judo champion, WEC World Champion, UFC former #1 contender, who is known for successfully adapting judo techniques for Mixed Martial Arts.
Randy Couture is a 6-time World champion and Hall of Famer in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) and Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He is also a successful business man, author and a rising actor, whose achievements as an actor include a role in the movie “The Expendables.” Standing next to his sports mate Karo Parisyan, Randy officially declared to the world that he recognizes the Armenian Genocide.
In his tribute, Randy Couture said: “I’d like to take a moment to recognize the 100-year anniversary of the Armenian Genocide of 1915 where the Ottoman Turks killed more than 1,5 million Armenian people. My friend Karo Parisyan is a great-great grandson of a survival family.”
Karo Parisyan followed with his tribute: “Towards this important day of April 24th, the 100th memorial of the Armenian Genocide, I am standing next to my people and bowing my head in front of the innocent victims. I urge you to recognize the Armenian Genocide of April 24th, 1915.”
